His mother and he had been living with the grandmother until his mother died of cancer. The grandmother cared for him herself for some years however now being quite elderly asked that he be cared for as she cannot continue. His father is unknown.

He lives in the Anapurna self-sustaining children's home in Nepal.

He attends school and wants to become a policeman. He is a dedicated and bright child.
