Sharmila was born in 2002 in Rautahat, in the Terai area. Female The Father died, and the Mother has taken a second husband. She was not allowed to keep the children. An Aunt adopted her and her sister Sabina, but she was also sick of neck cancer so she gave her and Sabina to the Bhaktapur Self-Sustaining Children's Home. The mother is the only contact person, but she had no contact for some years. Sharmilla arrived in February 2008 at the Bhaktapur Children's Home. She is studying in school, in the first grade. Her favorite animal is a goat and her favorite color is red. Sharmila is a shy girl. However the longer time she is staying in our home, she is gaining confidence and is very good at her studies. She is also very caring towards the younger children. |
